She studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. She is noted as a landscape and marine painter, illustrator of children’s books and teacher. During her lifetime she exhibited widely at such venues as the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran in Washington, the Baltimore Museum, and numerous others where she was awarded various prizes. She died in 1953 in Greenfield, MA.
