Pre-Columbian Jadeite Stone and Fossil Four Strand Beaded Necklace, from Mittla Ruins, Mexico, with a carved jadeite face pendant, L.- 14 1/2 in. Provenance: Palmira, the Estate of Sarkis Kaltakdjian (Sarkis Oriental Rugs), Prairieville, Louisiana. (4 Pcs.)
Condition
Cord that beads are strung on is a modern plastic material. Charming face carved into main stone. Paper tag attached that reads “Pre-Columbian necklace from Mitla Ruins, Mexico Jadite, [sic] stone and fossil.” Condition consistent with age and use.
