Description
In 1964 While Jack Slack Was Diving Just 1,000 Yards Offshore From The Lucayan B Hotel In The Grand Bahamas He Had No Idea Of The Treasure Beneath Him. Later Named The Lucayan B Wreck, It Yielded Thousands Of Silver Coins In Just 10 Feet Of Water. Most Of These Coins Had Heavy Saltwater Corrision From 400 Years On The Reefs. The Lost Ship Was Never Identified, But Popular Belief Ties The Wreck To A Spanish Galleon Captured By The Dutch Privateer Piet Heyn Near Cuba In 1628. This Coin Shows The Corrosive Effects Of Seawater After 300 Years. The Outline Of The Spanish Cross Is Just Visible On The Front. A Great Piece Of Caribbean History, Coin Will Come With A Certificate Of Authenticity And Descriptive Brochure. Please Style At Checkout. Metal: Sterling Silver Frame - Measures: 2.25" Tall X 1.5" Wide
