Catalog Note:
While most of Hurley's etchings and aquatints feature scenes of the Cincinnati area, during the mid 1930s, around the time of the Chicago World's Fair of 1933-1934, Hurley produced a number of Chicago images.
The acronym A.N.A. designates that Hurley was an Associate of the National Academy of Design, the historic, member-nominated artistic organization founded in New York City in 1825 by Samuel Morse, Asher Durand, Thomas Cole, and others.
