Chinese Yuan Dynasty Blue and White Phoenix Porcelain Plate. The plates has a broad wide central interior, waves form rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of flying phoenix, flowers bloom with foliage, and thrashing Lishui wavy waves. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
