This Original Colored Pencil on Paper measures 15” H x 13 ½” W and is titled, “Polo Player Blue”. The drawing is pencil signed Charley Paris lower left. The artist is Charles Paris (1911-1994). The beautifully executed drawing depicts a polo player in a blue jersey on horseback preparing to strike the ball with his mallet across his body. The background is non descript. The foreground has small patch of grass and the ball. The artist use of light and tone is particularly well done. The piece is framed in ¾” beveled mahogany with black stripe and 1 ¾ olive mat under regular glass. The drawing and frame are in excellent condition.
