Lot of two photos, 4" x 6.25" one bearing a photograph of Jesse James, and the other 4.25" x 6.5" featuring an image of Jesse James’ mother standing at the grave of her deceased son. From the archives of famous Old West photographer John Tackett.
Likely from the early 20th century.
Jesse Woodson James was best known as the leader of the James–Younger Gang. The American outlaw was raised in the "Little Dixie" area of western Missouri. James and his family maintained strong Southern sympathies.
John Tackett owned a photography studio in Coffeyville, where Tackett would capture many famous images.
