A Classical parcel-gilt mahogany tilt-top center table Attributed to Anthony G. Quervelle (1789-1856), Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830

Circular top with stenciled anthemion motifs to perimeter, surmounting central support with carved and gilt leaves, on three paw-form feet with brass casters.

Condition
stable and sturdy overall; wear and some loss to gilding throughout commensurate with age; top with brass latch underneath having some new screws; top with some age cracks, some scratching, and minor occasional rippling to veneer commensurate with age; lower edge of molding to top with break- section loose, but presently taped; base with some cracking to veneer; base with some general surface wear, particularly to feet; carved leaves on base with some flaking to gilding; some age cracks to carved round sections of central support under top
