The tapered body with bands of repoussÃ© fruit and flowers to upper and lower rims, scrolled handle, the body engraved with inscription, "Presented to Joshua Knight/ by the Citizens of New York,/ for his exertions in saving Four Seamen,/ from the Wreck of the Ship SEA FOX./ 30th October 1821."; marked with both "I.W. Forbes" in rectangle and "I.W.F." in rectangle over "N.Y." in rectangle, and pseudo hallmarks, to underside.
