Shaped crest and ears over carved and pierced splat, cabriole legs on ball-and-claw feet, upholstered slip seats, one chair bearing partial printed Benjamin Randolph label to interior rear seat rail.

some notable repairs to all stiles, midway, and evidence of old pins to front side rails, possibly evidence that this pair may have been armchairs originally; some repairs evident to crest/stile attachment to one chair; some repairs noted to seat frames of both, including likely later corner blocks to front (evidence of later nail reinforcements to blocks), replaced corner blocks to back; one splat with some repaired splits; repaired shoe to bottom of one splat, where it split
