Two rare items: Fold out pamphlet from Merchants National Bank, Helena, stating paid up capital: $150,000, dated 1882, listing boards of directors, president, cashier, attorney. Item #2: small, hardcover booklet titled Helena's Social Supremacy: Montana's Center of Fashion, Refinement, Gentility, Etiquette, Kettle Drums, High Fives, Progressive Euchre and Mixed Drinks, dated 1894, written to state why Helena should be the MT state capital.48 pp. 4 1/2" x 6 3/4". Montana gained statehood in 1889.
