Luis Granda
(Source: casagama.com) Luis Granda is a Mexican artist who was born in Madrid, Spain. He graduated from the National School of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
From a very young age, his passion for painting was notable, which, together with a firm discipline and tireless experimentation, has led to a structured and solid visual proposal of masterful workmanship, which also includes sculpture. One of the characteristics that distinguishes his work is the free style in which he uses color as well as composition and theme, with a highly creative use of materials. He has managed to tackle techniques as diverse as oil, lithography, engraving, watercolor, drawing or collage and all mixed techniques.
Luis Granda has had more than thirty individual exhibitions in countries such as the United States, Germany, Spain, Puerto Rico and Mexico, where his work has found a place in places such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes. To these exhibitions are added almost sixty group exhibitions held in Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, numerous cities in the United States and Germany and, of course, Mexico. Some of his works are part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (Mexico City), El MARCO (Monterrey) and La Caixa (Spain).
