Adams and Westlake Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway "The Adams" No. 11 Lantern w/ Clear Cast Globe The top of the lantern is stamped with "The Adams" encircled by The Adams and Westlake Company -Chicago. The shoulder is embossed with W&L.E. RY There is light stamping just to the right of the embossing which reads "For" and then what appears to be a number of which the 4 is still ledgible. The steel top does have some light flash rust and pitting. The last patent date on the edge of the shoulder appears to be Aug 16 of 98. The globe is clear and cast with W&LE Ry and has a notable chip in the lower rim and five notable chips or defects in the body of the globe. The globe does not have any cracks.
