A Louis XV style gilt bronze boar form mantel clock
Le Roy, Paris
mid 19th century
The dial signed Chles Le Roy / AParis, the movement with Japy Freres pastille and further impressed SH/Paris and 1194 72 21, with twin train striking movement.
height 18 1/4in (46cm); width 13 3 /4in (35cm); depth 8in (20cm)

Condition

Very well cast and chased. General marks, scratches, rubbing, slight spotting and wear. Enamel dial with some scuffs, fine cracks, scattered minor losses and bluing at edges. Dryness and losses to silk at sides of case. Movement lacking bell. With pendulum and winding key. Working condition of clocks is unknown and not guaranteed.
