Calder So Phild.inscribed: IN MEMORY OF THEIR BELOVED PARENTS / FRANCIS WEST HEMSLEY/ DIED SEPTEMBER 11, 1882 / SUSAN ONDERDONK HEMSLEY / DIED JUNE 5, 1878 /THIS TOWER AND CHIME ARE ERECTED BY / FREDERICK HEMLSEY/ AND/ ELIZABETH HEMSLEY AVERY / BLESSED ARE THE DEAD WHO DIE IN THE LORD36 by 21 in.; comes with (3) corner floret-form boltsFrom the Church of the Ascension on Pacific Ave., in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In 1879 Francis Hemsley created a parish there and the church was later built in 1893. The church was on the National Register of Historic Places, but because of the cost of extensive repairs required, it was demolished in 2017.
