PIERCED BRASS AND SHEET IRON KEROSENE LANTERN, bale handle, fixed colorless globe, removable sheet iron font with spring mechanism to underside of base, No. 1 inset collar. Fitted with a Wilmot & Kissam burner with elevated deflector feature, wick tube marked "MF'D BY WILMOT & KISSAM MF'G CO BROOKLYN N.Y.", and reverse "THE WILMOT BURNER PATENT APP'D FOR". Third quarter 19th century. 17 1/4" HOA, 12 3/8" H to top of cap, 5 5/8" D base.

Provenance: The Phillip M. Sullivan estate collection.

Condition

Very good condition with minute denting, font with some repairs to spring junctions, globe undamaged. Burner with detachment of one deflector support arm.
