Description
REED AND PLAIN BANDS STAND LAMP, canary yellow font and No. 2 base, underside of base embossed "2" in one corner, brass connector, No. 1 brass collar. Fitted with a No. 1 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "PATENT APPLIED FOR", wick wheel base with tabs which insert into slides on air distributor base and lock into place, colorless period molded lip chimney with double bands of horizontal ribbing, lower edge embossed "E A C C D", and with factory polishing/grinding to rims. Third quarter 19th century. 7 7/8" H to top of collar, 3 1/2" SQ base.

Condition
Excellent condition, font undamaged, foot with several flakes/roughness to edges and a shallow chip to an underside corner. Burner deflector with some minute dents and ill-fitting, chimney fitter with a large open bubble to top, rims with flakes/roughness
