Description
For your consideration is a stunning 19th Century carved and gilt wood fragment depicting two birds nestled amongst period flourishes. The fragment is well preserved and the gilding has appropriate patination for this time period. The fragment has great relief and complexity in its design and measures 7 1/2"(w) x 4"(h) x 2 1/2"(d) and weighs just under 5 ounces.

Item is in excellent condition. This is a fragment of a once larger piece but this offering has good composition and can stand alone without looking like a broken piece of something else. Gilding is in good condition with no major losses and consistent patination. Some hardware added to fragment to aid in displaying - we will leave this hardware intact as to give winning bidder options.
