Susan Martin "King", 1991. Wood, steel, wax, plaster, and cardboard. Height: 55 1/2", Length: 10 3/4", Depth: 10 3/4". Four-piece installation sculptural piece by American artist Susan Martin. Black pedestal base with black and white painted cube atop, topped with a hollow copper square with a circular birch-like element at the very top. Appears unsigned. Provenance: Purchased from the Sybaris Gallery, Royal Oak, Michigan in 1992.
