Painting appears unsigned, plaque to front of frame reads "1733 J. Zoffany RA 1810". Tag to reverse of frame notes "G. Trollope and Sons."

Fair condition; craquelure over entire canvas. Areas of light retouching to the subject's jacket and face, as well as heavy retouching around the sides of the canvas (visible with UV light.) Small areas where the pigment has flaked or chipped off. Yellow discoloration overall. What appears to be mold spotting to the reverse of the canvas. The frame is in poor to fair condition.
