Description
Pair of Vintage Indo Persian arm throne chairs. Hand carved and painted wood with very colorful design. The backs centered with patriarchal portrait of woman and man dressed in traditional sari attire. Crest formed of two green parrot birds with good luck trunk up elephants carved out of the corners. Arms composed of full body carved lions with gold finishes and peacock birds as arm rests. Legs with floral carved and painted details. Body with red surface and floral decoration throughout. Very colorful statement pieces. Circa, last quarter of the 20th Century. No apparent signature.
