Together with a vintage Carol Channing & George Burns performance booklet that contains a photograph on page 3 showing Channing with a similar handbag on her shoulder. In the press packet for the musical ‘Lorelei’, this image was captioned in part “Carol Channing, star of the Broadway musical hit ‘Lorelei’, packs all her diamonds and eyelashes in her Halston tote bag.” Please note: the archival image that accompanies the on-line listing is not included with the lot and may not be reproduced - it is for reference purposes only. The image shows Carol Channing carrying this bag (or one very similar to it) as she attends a party given in her honor by her longtime friend Liz Carpenter in 1982.
