For your consideration is a stupendous Italian Art Deco pottery figure of a seated flower girl. This whimsical figure is so well modeled and the hand-painted details are full of expression. The figure measures 7 3/4" in height, is 6 3/8" wide and 7" in depth. The underside of the figure is marked with an impressed stamp reading "Italy". This figure is likely from the Lenci/Sandro Vaccetti/Essevi school of cermics/pottery. The figure weighs 2 pounds, 5 ounces.

Provenance: From the private collection of a retired Army Colonel from San Antonio, Texas, who was stationed in Italy at Camp Darby near the cities of Livorno and Pisa.

Item is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, heavy wear or repair. There are a couple of superficial glaze chips on black portions of the figure that have been 'repaired' or covered with an unknown black substance.
