A LARGE PAIR OF JAPANESE SATSUMA VASES WITH APPLIQUÉ DECORATION, ATTRIBUTED TO MAKUZU KOZAN, MEIJI PERIOD, LATE 19TH CENTURY, each decorated in enamels and gilt with an almost identical design, applied in high relief with a crane and lilies, character marks and red seal to each.
