An early 19th century mahogany and boxwood strung longcase clock
the dial signed William Carter, Salisbury
the arched hood with moulded cornice with twin brass onion spire finials and circular glazed sides, the trunk with moulded arched door above a plinth base with moulded cut corner panel raised on bracket feet with shaped apron, the 12' silvered Roman dial with subsidiary Arabic seconds below XII, the brass four pillar twin train movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, with pendulum and case key, 201cm high approximately
