in the Louis XVI style
the 9' paper dial marked in ink from 27 to 29, set within a beaded slip, the shaped case with acanthus and floral cresting and crossed quiver of arrows and flambeau torch and floral garlanded surround, the lower section set with an alcohol thermometer above a floriate terminal, 101cm high
