This scale boasts accuracy because it doesn't use any springs, and viewing the mechanism behind the glass, it is hard not to be impressed by the ingenuity. The cast iron body is white porcelain, while the face of the scale is tin and is showing very little wear. It is a Style 8300. Condition shows very little use, some very light chipping around the cash door, light wear to the platform, but overall an outstanding original example of this scale.
