Meissen (German, founded 1720), 1815-1924. "Cavalier on Bowl" and "Dame on Bowl" (Kavalier an Schale - model 2872 and Dame an Schale - model 2875), originally modeled by Johann Joachim Kandler, "Blue Onion" pattern sweat meat dishes, with raised floral detail. Factory second marks with impressed marks to underside. Approx. of one, h. 4", w. 7", d. 4.25".
Condition
Various: male with chips to fingers, flowers and hem of coat; female with chips to fingers, visible restoration to bowl and arm with overpaint, chip to foot and hem of shawl.
