Description
PROBABLY CONTINENTAL SILVER-PLATED FIVE-PIECE FOOTED BOWL / DISH SET, each having openwork basket well with colorless glass liner, featuring reeded and leaf design accented by applied grapevine decoration, raised on pedestal-type base with round feet, comprising a larger bowl and four smaller bowls. Each impressed along edge of base with an unidentified maker's mark next to three pseudo hallmarks in the style of English marks, possibly from Hanau, Germany. Late 19th/early 20th century. Largest 8" HOA, 8 3/4" D rim; one smaller 6" HOA, 6" D rim.

Condition
Very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and worn spots to raised decoration and silver; one smaller glass liner having two chips to rim with one being sizable; another smaller glass liner with a sizable bruise, a sliver chip, and a few flakes to rim.
