COLLECTION OF SPORTING THEME CLOTHING BUTTONS, including enameled examples featuring golfer, cricket player, dog, horse, and game, celluloid examples featuring race horses, huntsmen, golfer, and rugby player, gold- and silver-plated examples including set with running fox above a monogram, and embossed brass examples with running foxes. Set marked for Firmins, London. Mounted on a removable cardboard sheet stamped "Button Mounts / Edith Rodway / 14 Winslow Ave. / Somerville, Mass. / This Is Number [51 in script]". Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 1/2" to 1" d.
