Item/Description: Wonderful 19th Century open face Sterling Silver pocket watch by M.J. Tobias Liverpool, England. Unmarked Swiss bar movement. Sterling Silver engine-turned outer case and Sterling Silver engraved dial featuring Roman numerals and countryside village scene with castle/tower and mountains in background. Anodized blue tip hands; seconds dial. Back with engine turned surface and floral bouquet medallion in center.

Inner aspect hallmarked: 3658 and J.H. in oval cartouche. Back of movement hallmarked: Patent Lever Full Jewelled Hands / M J Tobias Liverpool. Innermost chamber (with watch removed) hallmarked: JH / 3658.

Decorative chain comprised of elongated, embossed and smooth links attached to a key. Hallmarked: Harry F. Howe, Littleton, N.H. Pat. Sep. 1. 1874; Jeweler 7. Silver tone hook clasp that attaches chain to watch do not appear original.

Material: Sterling Silver.

Dimensions: Width: Approximately 2" in diameter; approximately 74.3 grams (watch alone); Chain: Length ( including key): 15 1/2"; approximately 14.6 grams.

Condition: Does not currently work. For parts/repair. Signs of age and wear including surface scratches. Movement pops out of case at times when opened.
