A Victorian silver and hardstone mounted quaich
by George & Michael Crichton, Edinburgh 1883
The circular bowl with two stag head handles, with red cabochon eyes, the bowl engraved with Celtic knot-work panels, the outer surface profusely set with varying hardstones, with an upper wavy band of hardstones and bosses, the lower body with a lower band of curved stones, on a collet foot, the plain interior set with a large citrine, length handle to handle 14.2cm, diameter of bowl 9.4cm.
