These works were purchased at Bonny’s Art Show at Houshang’s Gallery in 1986. Proceeds from this Auction will benefit Wild Horse Rescue Center is a nonprofit 100% dependent on donations from the public. They rely on your help to provide their rescued mustangs with the best care possible. Wild Horse Rescue Center rescues, rehabilitates, and finds new homes for mustangs and burros while providing educational clinics and seminars to the public. They are based in Webster, Florida. They are a non-profit rescue and rehabilitation center, and rely on volunteers, sponsorships, donations, and adoptions to provide care for their wonderful mustang rescues. Wild Horse Rescue Center works directly with various government and private agencies who help facilitate the acquisition of mustangs from all over the United States. Their partnerships help them to better identify animals in need of rescue while working within state and federal regulations. Wild Horse Rescue Center is helping horses and other animals that were in previous abusive homes have a second chance at life and new loving homes. Bonny attended Tyler College of Art at Temple University where she received much of her technical art training. She believes her creativity derived from the observance of complex interactions and behavior of people in her life, past and present. Although her work is airy and colorful with a sense of freedom, we find a special yearning for solitude upon examining the glances between horses and riders. The movement of horses causes them to appear as many changing shapes and colors as they flow through the color of air and the depth of the land. The glorious robes of the riders with their hair of freedom capture our imagination on their wild journey. Her mystifying pastels set our mood in gentle desert tones, powerful jewel tones and rich warm variations. Bonny’s work “Companions” has been featured on the cover of Public Broadcasting Systems Magazine in 1986. Other work of hers that had been featured is“Dream Rider” for the cover of the Arabian House Association.
