JUDITH YELLIN Desert Collage on Watercolor, signature to lower right illegible, verso reads ‘JUDITH YELLIN’, subject a traveler speaking to a merchant in the desert with two camels in the background, frame measures 18 3/4 x 16 inches, window measures 11 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches, gold toned wooden frame, surface wear and chips to frame professionally framed, double matted in cream tones, not examined out of frame. Judith Yellin is a native to Jerusalem and teaches arts and crafts at teachers colleges. She is also a senior lecturer at the School of Occupational Therapy at the David Yellin Teacher's College. In 1943 she graduated from the Bezalel of Art, and studied under M. Ardon and I. Aschheim. In 1966, Yellin became a member of the Isreali Painters and Sculptors Association and in 1971 studied etching under S.W. Hayter.
