IV.
Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, Marquis of Dalí de Púbol (Figueras, May 11, 1904-ibid., January 23, 1989) was a 20th century Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, set designer and writer. He is considered one of the highest representatives of surrealism.Salvador Dalí is known for his shocking and dreamlike surreal images of him. His pictorial abilities are often attributed to his influence and admiration for Renaissance art. He was also an expert draftsman.Dalinian plastic resources also dealt with cinema, sculpture and photography, which led him to numerous collaborations with other audiovisual artists. He had the ability to clarify a genuinely personal and palpable style on first contact, which was actually very eclectic and "sucked in" on other people's innovations. One of his most famous paintings is The Persistence of Memory (also known as The Soft Clocks), made in 1931.
