Stuart Davis, watercolor, dated 1915, dark interior scene of New York tenement, 9" x 13", examined out of the frame. Mr. Davis, in his early years, painted in this medium in New York City as a member of the Ash Can School. His later abstracts are in all major museums including MOMA. This painting comes from the estate of Frank King who was the creator and cartoonist of "Gasoline Alley" . A gift to Mr. King from the artist.
