Description
A group of 10 Medieval Armenian coins. Cilician Armenia, c. AD 1226-1307. Represented here are examples of copper kardez of kings Levon I, (AD 1198 - 1219), Hetoum II (AD 1289 - 1307), Levon III (AD 1301 - 1307), and a large copper Tank of Hetoum I (AD 1226 - 1270), the last was pierced in antiquity). Size ranges from 18 to 27 mm, each with nice coppery to olive-green patina, light earthen deposits. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
