A mixed group of ancient objects in various materials. Lot includes a Near Eastern votive figure, c. 2nd Millennium BC, in carved shell, with columnar body and large circular eyes, H: 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm); A Roman lead votive of Aphrodite, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, lacking the head but with good detail and standing on a base, H: 2 in (5 cm); A lot of 3 Roman terracotta bullae, mid-3rd Century AD, used to seal administrative scrolls, each with the impression of a ring stone, largest 26 x 20 mm; A Medieval lead cap depicting the confronted busts of two women, Dia: 24 mm; And an Islamic ceramic portion of a handle, c. 10th - 14th Century, with remnants of blue-green glaze, L: 2 3/8 in (6 cm). Ex Los Angeles collection.
