Description
A Near Eastern bronze votive horse and rider, c. 1000 - 600, the rider with large angular nose, short, tapered arms and wears a domed Persian style hat. He sits on the back of a bull, fore and hind legs at conjoined, with short tail and horns. 5.3 x 3.3 cm. Dark patination. Ex collection of William Ashby.
