Description
A Romano-Egyptian faience figure of a comedic actor, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, in the form of a dwarf wearing a heavy robe and mask, the tip of his phallus peaking from beneath the hem of his robe. 3 1/2 in (8.9 cm). Glaze now a pale green color. Mounted on an old black wood base. Ex New Jersey private collection.
