RUSSIAN IMPERIAL BADGE 31st INFANTRY REGIMENT, 1911
Gold wreath of laurel and oak branches bound by a gold ribbon. inside: the wreath is the gold cypher of the Empress Anna Ioannovna beneath the gold Grand Duchess Crown hemispheres and falling gold ribbons.
On the cypher of Anna Ioannovna is the gold cypher of the Emperor Nicholas II beneath the gold Imperial crown. Bronze, 36.57 x 53.71 mm (1.44 x 2.11 inches), 17.68 g (without screw). Unfortunately the enamel was gone - you can see only a little bit white and blue enamel. We are sure not a big problem to restore that enamel.

HISTORY of SALES: On auction Znak (Moscow), 2008, auc. 4, lot 305, the badge for in VF condition was estimated for $2800. Last ten years the badge for officers was appeared only once in 2004 on auction Dortheum.

The last living veteran of the Russian Imperial Army was Ukrainian supercentenarian Mikhail Krichevsky, who died in 2008.
