Item Details
Description
RARE Loterie Royale De France Medalion from the mid-late Eighteenth Century (1700s), France.

The Loterie Royal de France was a raffle lottery operated by the French Royals, which legally abolished other lotteries and created a monopoly. The prize pool of money was backed by the Crown, an idea initially considered preposterous when proposed by the infamous Casanova, after his fleeing to France from Italy and engaging the Royal Court.

This Bronze medallion, engraved with the number 1013 is presented for bidding. We would especially like to draw the attention of Museum Curators and astute Collectors to this Rare opportunity.
