Item Details

Description

A Japanese mixed metal okimono of Daikokuten, the god of wealth and the household. The statue depicts Daikokuten standing on two rice bales with a sack over his shoulder held by his left hand and a mallet in his right hand.

Dimensions are: 12 1/2 inches tall X 6 1/2 inches wide, 31.75 cm X 16.51 cm. Weight: 4309.13 grams. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: No noted damage.

Provenance: From a private collection in Lorton, Virginia. The collector has been restoring antiques for over 50 years in the Washington, D.C. area.
