Description
Set of two octagon shape porcelain plates, early 1920s, marked "Czecho-Slovakia." [Note: the state Czechoslovakia, carved out of the parts of the Austrian Empire, was founded in 1918. The mark "Czecho-Slovakia" was usually applied in the early 1920s, changed later to "Czechoslovakia." These two countries separated in 1993]
The plates are c.9" x 9" [22.9cm]; a little surface wear to the blue glaze [see photos]; no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, very good condition.
