Featured in this lot is this Silver and alpaca silver mounted shank bit pair. There are two bits in this collection. The first features a silver mounted concho on this shank snaffle bit in the shape of wreath stars attached to the snaffle bit portion. The second bit is alpaca silver mounted shank snaffle bit with brass steer heads and a alpaca silver mounted ring around them with silver studs down the length of the shanks. The condition of the bits is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good condition; the bits show oxidation consistent with age and use. The measurements of these bits are 7 3/4" x 6" x 2 1/8" and the shank measures 3 5/8" at the angle; and the second bit measures 8 1/4" x 6 3/4" x 2 3/4" and the shank measures 3 3/4" at the angle.
