Description
A very fine silver sword cane curio. The highly decorated silver handle measures 10 1/4" long and 1" in diameter. It is inscribed on top: "I. Dickson, Castle Hill, Busby" for the town in Yorkshire, England. At the base of the handle a 23" squared blade can be withdrawn from a brass friction mount. The shaft is black hardwood with a 7/8" brass ferrule. The overall length is 36 1/3" and the condition is very good. It is English, ca 1895, and it is a very nice example. Estimate: $1200-$1800.
