Hardcover octavo, 473 pages, hardbound in one quarter brown leather with partial printed paper sides. Topics covered include the War of 1812, Militia and Naval engagements including the capture of the Argus and Commodore Matthew Perry, Messages from the governors of Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia and Kentucky (among others) to their respective state legislatures, Claiborne's message to the legislature of New Orleans, War with Creek Indians, death of Tecumsah, etc. Dated from Sept 25, 1813-March 19, 1814, with addendum.
