English 19th century mahogany sideboard, oak secondary wood, comprised of a rectangular top with bowfront center section over a conforming case, one center bowfront dovetailed drawer over a hidden lower drawer, flanked by one large deep drawer having a faux two-drawer facade on one side and two short drawers on the other side. One of those two short drawers is not as deep as the other to accommodate a hidden drawer, accessed from the side of the case, through a small door cut into the frame. Square tapered legs ending in spade feet. Drawers with flame grained veneers, brass escutcheons and locks, and lion head and ring pulls. 36" H x 76 1/2" W x 29 1/2" D. English, early to mid 19th century. Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.

Two board top appears original but has been stripped and refinished. Entire case also refinished. Shrinkage to interior drawers, top, and sides. Some worm holes to back. A few spots of replaced drawer and case moldings. Door and drawer in the side may not be original. Brass pulls are replacements. Drawer runners replaced, possible reworkings of some drawers.
