Kazimir Malevich (Russian, 1879-1935) was an avant-garde artist and theorist who deeply influenced abstract art in the 20th century. His life's work is perhaps best defined by the publication of the manifesto, 'From Cubism to Suprematism', as well as his groundbreaking body of abstract artwork.
