This lot consists of a stunningly framed, original watercolor on paper, done by one of the leading wildlife artists of the day, Karen Allaben-Confer (American). Image depicts a goldfinch perched upon a cheery sprig of goldenrod. Masterfully executed and hand-painted. Framing is impeccable. Overall framed dimensions approximately 30.5" x 19".

Her perspective as an artist is rooted in her belief that science and art are inextricably connected – both requiring keen observational skills and both seeking truth.
